About Lejla Lisinovic

Lejla believes that every person has a unique life story. She honors every story by embarking on a journey of self-discovery and healing through deep empathy, safety and empowerment in every session. She is committed to helping individuals heal from past trauma, anxiety, depression, changes in life, and grief and loss. She believes that building a strong relationship with her clients develops the most productive space for healing and feels honored when she is invited to experience their unique life story with them.

Lejla has experience in working with teenagers, adolescents, and adults while creating a safe and non-judgemental environment where each person and their experiences feel fully accepted and validated. Her clinical focus includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, strength-based therapy, and client-centered approach to healing and meeting the individual where they are at. She is currently involved in a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) training and plans to continue to grow within the realm of trauma work. She is currently working toward a Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC) licensure and plans to engage in training for equine assisted therapy.

In her personal life, she likes to be silly with her 1 year old daughter and spend quality time with family. She enjoys exploring new recipes, experiencing the outdoors and catching live music with her husband from time to time. She grew up with two cats and plans to adopt a couple of furry friends in the near future.
